Bilquis Bano Edhi was born on 14th of August 1947 and is a professional nurse heading the Bilquis Edhi Foundation. She served her life in providing safe-heavens to the destitute. She got married to Abdul Sattar Edhi (Late) at the age of 17 and often reflects back to her life with husband, who never spent a day not serving the crying humans in pain.
The remarkable services of Bilquis Edhi had the most significant impact and presented her with the munificent awards like Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Pakistan), the Lenin Peace Prize, Mother Teresa Memorial International Award for Social Justice (2015) and the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Public Services that she received along with her husband.
