The assumption that women will fight along with men one day surprisingly came true, when women were seen in green beret, lining up on the front lines to uplift gender equality nationwide. Breaking through the barriers of religious and conservative elements these fighters took their duties to the battle fields to defend this country.
Women of Pakistan Military Academy PMA, Kakul Abbottabad did not even lag behind on the day, when entire nation celebrated 145th Birth Anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Lady Cadets from Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul gracefully took on the ceremonial duty of guard along with Gentlemen Cadets with traditional zeal and vigorous patriotism at Maazar-e-Quaid as the part of celebration to mark the natal day of Father of Nation, born on 25th of December 1876.
The Commandant PMA – Major General Omer Ahmad Bokhari was the chief guest at this occasion along with other senior military and civil officials at Mazaar-e-Quaid. He inspected the dignified contingent of seventy-eight 78 Gentlemen Cadets and six 6 Lady Cadets, who with visible passion assumed their guard duty on this occasion. He offered ‘Fateha’ and laid the wreath of flowers to pay tribute to the Founder of Pakistan.
The ceremony came to an end with a march past by the Cadets of Pakistan Military Academy PMA.
On this day every year, the nation as a unit take a trip down memory lane to recall the symbolic aspects of Quaid-e-Azam’s life, achievements, political struggle,
successes and sacrifices for the homeland we live in peacefully.
National flag is hoisted atop all private and public buildings on this day as the gesture of respect and public holiday is observed in his remembrance.
A spirited celebration is also seen nationwide at official and civil society levels to shed light on the ideas and views of Quaid-e-Azam befitting the occasion of Quaid’s birth anniversary.
