Depression - a major trauma

Depression. Often when we talk about depression we relate it by saying it’s a sad feeling. But it can be more than a constant emotion of sadness. Major depression can cause a variety of symptoms and it’s substantial than you think.

In our society, this term is often neglected and people around us take it as a bad mood. But we need to understand that feeling down is normal but if you are hopeless and it’s on your regular basis then it’s different and termed be DEPRESSION.

It is a serious medical disorder that can get worse if not treated properly. It affects our daily life. There could be many reasons but summing up to the major one is low self-esteem. People who constantly put others down and faking perfection. They strive for continuous improvement but fail due to being self-critical and realizing the fact that they CAN’T.

Long term suffering may cause major issues, some believe that confronting such people and making them realize solves the problem but it doesn’t. The fact that they won’t stop and will continue is such torture and will cause more than just a recession.

The trauma of losing someone, neglecting yourself, and bearing constant stress will not only affect you mentally but physically. Often depression comes with severe anxious distress, weight loss, and indecisiveness. It’s important to seek professional help as it won’t go on its own.
