Death Herself

Death Herself

She fooled me, Death herself,
Disguised in a mass of flesh,
“YOU WILL SLEEP WELL,” she said,
Snapped her fingers,
And took away my breath.

She led me to a grave,
Said this is where my body would lay,
I asked her if she’ll stop by my new place,
A genuine smile spread on her face,
Putting her cold hand on my shoulder,
She shook her head.
And disappeared into nothingness.
